Grand Theft Auto Liberty City for PSP came out in 2005. Rockstar North released its first version for this system. PSP is basically a playstation 2 but in hand held form. Talk about powerful in mobile gaming.

Liberty City has been used the most in Grand Theft Auto Games. Liberty City is based after New York City but in a very violent crime filled society. Rockstar North decided to try a different development engine but started with their most favorite fictional city.

Like Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto Vice City this game is set in a mafia type storyline. You are an upcoming henchman who is trying to do "jobs" to help your status in the mob.

Grand Theft Auto Liberty City has a unique feature that in the audio section of the game you input custom music tracks which has never been available before in the Grand Theft Auto Franchise. The PSP game also has a feature where up to six seperate PSP players can play multiplayer via wireless. How cool is that?

Rockstar North sold over 2 Million copies of Grand Theft Auto Liberty City in PSP format alone.
